The engine has a 3/4" x 2-5/16" with a 1/2" PTO shaft for reverse. If you do not mind giving up reverse, you may be able to use one of the engines listed here with a single 3/4" diameter shaft. Please note: the newer overhead valve engines are about 2" wider toward the right side as you are looking at the shaft side of the engine. You will need to make sure this is not a problem before placing an order.
