- CLUTCH ENGAGEMENT OCCURS AT 1800RPM AT CRANKSHAFT, LOCK OCCURS AT 2200RPM The new UT2 engines have a built in rev limiter [ 4000 rpm max] in the Ign. Coil, the system has also changed from an open to run to a closed to run system. Along with going to a Digital CD system instead of a transistor system. The ignition systems cannot be changed or modified as this change was done to meet and comply with current EPA guidelines
